US Flight helmet SPH-4

A flight helmet worn by U.S. Marine aviators and Army pilots, the SPH-4 features a grey visor and internal black padded plastic earphones. The helmet is secured tightly to the wearer's head with a nylon webbing chin strap. It has a weight of 15 "mass" units and comes in two versions that have the visor either raised or lowered. SPH-4s technically provide a small amount of protection against explosions due to retaining a base armour value of 2 and a damage reduction modifier of 70%. However, this will only safeguard the wearer's head against indirect explosions only; damage from large blasts and ballistic projectiles will not be prevented.
