This type of shirt, with a full button opening front, replaced the M1916 half button design in 1934 and was further modified in 1937. These shirts are made with our own special wool fabric to give the correct look and feel of the wartime shirts, unlike some shirts available which look like felt.

Features:

  • 7 button front closure.
  • Gas flap.
  • 2 breast pockets.
  • Button cuffs.

This is the standard shirt for the US Army and was vworn by all Branch of Services in World War Two. Designed to be worn as part of the A class dress uniform with the four pocket tunic or Ike jacket and the M1937 wool trousers. It was also worn with the Infantry M41, M43, Tankers and M42 para jackets as part of the combat uniform.
