Republic of (South) Korea Korean War Service Medal in its original manufacture’s box of issue

The medal is used and is in good condition with limited signs of wear and age. The reverse side of the medal shows some manufacturing imperfection within the actual metal. The ribbon is clean and crisp and had a pin and open catch fastening brooch that is in good working order. The manufactures box is also used and in good condition with no damage

The Korean War Service Medal also known as the Republic of Korea War Service Medal (ROKWSM), is a military award of South Korea which was first authorized in December 1950. It was awarded to South Korean troops who had participated in the initial counter-assaults against North Korean aggression in June 1950. On September 15, 1951, the government of Korea authorized the medal to be awarded to members of the United Nations Command who have been and are now, combating the communist aggressor in Korea.
