The map case has a main compartment which is divided into 3 sections to store your maps and any documents. On the front there is a smaller pocket with various slots for pens, pencils and rulers. The front flap covers all of the slots and is secured closed by two pull the dot fasteners. Built into the back is a stiffener and on the back there are two D rings which the shoulder strap clips onto. Please note this is for the map case and shoulder strap it does not include the plastic Insert with the grid squares printed on it.
This is the standard map case used by the US Army in WW2 by all services including Infantry, Airborne and Armoured troops
