It's a flag style sign on a metal rod that was used as a marker outside. Mostly yellow, it has a horizontal white stripe at the top and the lettering is on a diagonal. This sign has its original smaltz coating which makes it reflective. Smaltzing is an old process where fine pieces of glass or colored sand were imbedded on the surface of signs. It was a practice used from Civil War time up until about 1945.
