A 21cm x 26cm olive drab-colored cotton bag with a tunnel loop and drawstring along its top edge. Known as "Hokobukuro" to the Japanese soldier, they were "ditty bags" designed to hold his personal belongings. Printed, in black, to one side is a zigzag pattern, underneath of which are three large kanji characters, vertically arranged. Lots of handwritten kanji to the back of the bag.
