The SW-141-V switch was an integral part of the internal communications systems in WW2 US armored vehicles and airplanes. Worn around the neck it was connected to the T-30 throat-mic and to the main communications net via a jack plug. When the switch was depressed the mic went "live" enabling the speaker to communicate with his fellow crewmen. The switch could be locked in place to keep the channel open, as necessary.
