A heavy, coarse, black wool, double breasted great coat with parallel rows of four brass buttons that lead to a lay down collar with hook and corresponding eyelet. Integral button shoulder straps are also present. To the interior is partially lined with white cotton that is stamped with what appears to be sizes, as well as a possible partial date. The reverse has a half belt that is held secure by a small black button under the fabric, while five small brass mismatched buttons are to the tail of the skirt, that also has button holes to the corners to secure to buttons to the interior.
