This bayonet has slab wood grips secured with two screw bolts. The pommel has a push release button which operates a it should. The ricasso is stamped with the 'Wild Tiger' emblem and symbols The dark steel blade is in good condition (1 small hack) and is fullered. The scabbards (sheet steel) and the locket and chape brazed back on with original canvas frog. This is a scarce bayonet, (see Skennerton's bayonet book, item M13 page 381)<
This is one of the 10,000 S.M.L.E. Rifles and Bayonets contract for Siam in 1920 from B.S.A. The bayonets were merely ex-service models, re-finished and stamped with the 'Wild Tiger Corps' emblem
