Order of the Star of Merit for Development of the Army, silver (Bintang Kartika Eka Pakci Nararya)

Seventeen-pointed silver star with rayed arms on elaborate bar for ribbon suspension; the face with a gilt garuda imposed on a seven-pointed star, its wings spread, a five-pointed gilt star between the tips of its wings, an escutcheon with the national colours of Indonesia imposed on its breast, encircled by a wreath; the reverse inscribed ‘REPUBLIK INDONESIA’; on original ribbon. The Order was one of the fourteen stars instituted under Article 15 of the Constitution by Regulation No. 4 of 1959 and its purpose is self-evident from its title. A good quality hard-to-find order.
