Magazijntas M20 voor het magazijn van het lichte machinegeweer, Lewis M.20 (Dutch leather pouch for round mag M20 Lewis)

zeldzame tas in lichtbruin leer, gemerkt 1940 in zeer nette staat, sluitleer heeft wat oppervlakte rimpels (Deze magazijntas werd links aan de koppel gedragen, i.p.v. de linkerpatroontas.)

Dutch Lewis Machine Gun Magazine Pouch (Lewis M.20 Magazijntas). This Lewis drum-magazine pouch was worn on the left side of the leather waist-belt. The pouch is made of brown leather and is in complete condition, there are two belt-loops on the back. The pouch is nicely marked and dated with 'AI 37' (Artillerie Inrichtingen 1937), there is also a 'B' stamped into the leather. The leather is very dry and shows some cracking, the pouch is in condition as found, the leather should be treated but that's up to the buyer. Most important, the pouch is in complete condition. Nice and hard to find original Dutch Lewis drum-magazine pouch in good used condition!

The round magazine was designed by the Dutch industry. The standard type contained 47 rounds [7,7 mm] and was based on a British design. The Dutch required a larger magazine, and the Artillerie Inrichtingen constructed the standard magazine for 97 rounds of 6,5 x 53,5R bullets.
