Early US Army fixed bails, front seam M1 helmet. This helmet retains all of the original cork textured dark green paint. Inside the front rim there is stamped the production lot, but this is barely visible. it should be one of the very first produced M1 in 1942. The chinstrap is a khaky OD#3 with brass buckle. The real bonus is a rare Saint-Clair low pressure liner in perfect condition with all straps and nape strap present. The Saint-Clair liner, clearly identifiable also for its different shape, was produced only until 1943 in a limited number of pieces; only 3% of the total liners production was made by SC.
