Part of the cleaning kit for the Lee-Enfield rifle. The brass-weighted pull-through that would be most suited to the No1 mk3 and mk3* SMLE rifles issued during WW1, but could also have been issued with any No4 rifle prior to the introduction of the steel-weighted pull-through in WW2. Stows in a purpose built compartment in the rifle butt.
