The reticule in this binocular is graduated horizontally in mils and vertically in hundreds of yards (see Nash-Kelvinator Corp. Binocular M3 6X30 Reticule. The lenses are not coated and have some spotting

The M3 was the standard United States Army binocular during WWII until April 1943 when replaced by the M13 6X30. 311,263 were made. Although it is a Bausch & Lomb design, only the first ones were made by Bausch & Lomb while the majority were made by Nash-Kelvinator and Westinghouse. Bausch & Lomb subsequently supplied the almost identically built M8 6X30 with Universal Camera supplying the M9 6X30 which is likewise almost identical in build to the M3 and M8.
