the 32 inch blade is firm in the hilt. The brass hilt has lost its once bright gilt finish, but is still in good condition besides, some slight damage as you should expect, the folding guard works well enough. The fishskin grip in good condition, the associated twisted grip wire bindings a little wayward in places, not too much. The once chemically browned (some browning remaining) field service steel scabbard has some light period damage but is overall very good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
