The M34 overseas cap was introduced for wear by EM/NCO's on 24 March 1934. On 21 July 1942 it was replaced by the more functional M42 overseas cap followed by the M43 field-cap which was based on the M42 overseas cap and the Mountain Trooper’s Mountain Cap (Bergmütze).. On front the cap is having an original BeVo cocarde originally hand-sewn in place the cap eagle is missing
