Standard World War 1 German army binoculars - 'Carl Zeiss D.F.6x' (Doppel-Fernrohr). Originally introduced in 1907 and used extensively until the end of the war in 1918. All Infantry commanders where equipped with a pair of binoculars. This model was still in use as a privately purchased binoculars untill World War 2. The Binoculars are nicely maker marked by the company of 'Carl Zeiss' in Jena. The binoculars are also bearing the inscription 'D.F. 6x' and the number '488709'.
