H.J. Rain Cape all-original condition. This cape is one of the most well designed, well-constructed, most detailed garments that I have ever seen.
It's made from a very neat, tight weave, cotton cloth, backed on the inside with a rubberized backside (partly missing ). It has 2 large slits on the front side -- when buttoned up, provides maximum weather shielding; when unbuttoned, allows arm access. Has a neck strap, hidden underneath the collar. Also has an interior cape support-strap that buttons around the wearer's neck. On the backside of the cape, hidden underneath the collar, are several buttons which, when unbuttoned, apparently allow for the cape's back area to expand (so that the wearer could wear a pack underneath?). Also, has a row of buttons along the front middle, allowing the wearer to fully button up for maximum rain protection.
