Ärmelband Kreta (Cufftitle Kreta)
The 'Kreta' cufftitle was introduced on 16 October 1942 and held the status of a campaign award, since the cufftitle was considered a military combat decoration, it was awarded with a corresponding award document (and entries in the 'Soldbuch' and/or 'Wehrpass'). The cufftitle was to be worn on the right lower arm (except greatcoats). The cufftitle is in a full-length condition and measures approximately 44cms in length. The cufftitle is made of a white cotton background and features the in yellow/gold thread machine embroidered script: 'Kreta', flanked by Acanthus leaves.
