The history of Badisches Train-Bataillon Nr. 14 dates back to its foundation on October 24, 1864. It served as the logistics battalion for the Grand Duchy of Baden's contingent within the Prussian Army's XIV. Army Corps, with its peacetime location being Durlach. The battalion was subordinate to the transport command of several army corps, including the XIV, XV, XVI, and XXI, steel scabbard has some wear and rustmarks , marked 14.T.1.62
