The 323 Squadron of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF), established in 1948, was the first Dutch jet fighter unit, famously known for transitioning to the F-35 Lightning II before merging with 322 Squadron in 2014. Based at Leeuwarden, it specialized in F-16 tactical training (TACTESS) and later became the operational test and evaluation unit for the F-35.
