WWII Nazi Veterans Association Flag. The Kyffhäuserbund (Kyffhauser League) was a central organization for veterans and reservists and served to control local organizations. The Kyffhäuserbund gets its name from the Kyffhäuser Monument, built in the 1890s to honor all veterans. The organization would be disbanded in March of 1943 and its members would be drafted into Volksturm service in 1945.
