Embleem Airborne PIR Garrison cap BM (Patch Garrision cap Airborne BM)

Paratrooper badge as worn by the 101st and 82nd Airborne. Placed on the standard issues USGI wool overseas cap, worn on the right side by officers, and the left side by enlisted men. Patch features blue background with white parachute. 

Patches for enlisted overseas caps were sewn to the front-left of the front fold, while officers were on the right. Often, it was popular for Airborne to place a silver dollar behind the cap patch; some even say it was used as a blackjack for bar fights.
