Camillus starting making their 5" blade survival knife in 1961 with a fungicide treated leather sheath for preservation in damp climates of Korea and Vietnam. The sharp clip point blade designed to penetrate outer aluminum shell of aircraft and the serrated spine was used to saw through the metal for occupant extraction. Knife length is 9" with 2 holes in the blade guard for cordage.
