This is a nice complete matching M31 Political Canteen (Feldflasche 31). The standard issue M31 canteen was introduced on 23 March 1931, the M31 canteen was based on the WW1 M1907 canteen with minor modifications. The leather straps are all in overall very good condition with some normal age and usage toning. All parts are nicely maker marked and dated with 'SEL 1040' indicating production in October 1940.
